Takayama Chasen is made by chasen artisans in Takayama, Nara, a place with a 500-year tradition. White bamboo, the raw material for tea whisk, is dried in the sun and cold wind. This process removes oil and water from the bamboo, giving it a shiny and beautiful white appearance. The tips of the tea whisk are more flexible and durable than those made in other countries. This tea whisk is a standard type called Kazuho with about 70 tips, which is suitable for both beginners and experts in preparing matcha. Anyone can easily make delicious matcha with fluffy, fine foam and creamy finish. Please Note: The finish may vary slightly due to the use of natural bamboo.
