Gyokko(玉光) is a three-generation potter who makes Tokoname kyusu by hand.
Flat Hiragata kyusu(平型急須) is characterized by the lack of height and the large bottom area of the kyusu compared to ordinary kyusu. This creates enough space inside the kyusu for the tea leaves to open up without stress, allowing the sweetness and flavor of the tea to be extracted thoroughly.
The ceramic tea strainer, called "ceramesh," is made of a very fine ceramic material and is integrated with the kyusu body.
The tea strainer is made of ceramics and is integrated into the kyusu body, so it does not have an unpleasant metallic smell or taste, allowing you to enjoy the true flavor of the tea.
